Special Notice........The Lord's Day

Because of religious conviction reasons, we do not do business-related transactions on Sunday, whether it be our puppy business, or any other.  For this reason, the computer is turned off for the day as we take a day of rest and attend church as a family.  In light of this, if you email us on Sundays, understand that your message won't be responded to until Monday morning.

We set the paperwork end of our puppy business aside as that can wait until Monday morning.  When it comes to the care of our pets, they are cared for in a proper way over Sunday.  We just don't take on unneedful workloads that can just as easily be tended to early in the week.

We thought it may be good to mention this in light of those that may try to contact us over Sunday and wonder why we aren't emailing back.  We've found that the Lord has blessed our puppy business in every way as a result of keeping His day.  Thank you for your understanding!

About Us

We are not your typical breeders.  We are a family living in a small farming community in Nebraska.  We have had beagles as pets for nearly 10 years now.  We homeschool, so our situation here is perfect in caring for our little darlings.  We spend time tending them before we start school at 8:15am, and then because we're home, we're able to check in on them at breaktime and lunch. My husband owns his own construction business, and as it practically freezes over during the winter months out here, it's a help in supplementing our income.  We do not do this just to "move" puppies though.  We care about the well-being of all of our pets and that they go to proper homes.  We dote on our puppies in such a way that when they leave here, we admit that they are a little spoiled and very responsive and acclimated to human contact.

We truly enjoy our opportunity to love on these puppies and see that they have what they need.  Over and over again, it's difficult for us to say goodbye to these little beagle babies, but we're happy to see that they are placed in loving homes where they will be appreciated and enjoyed for years to come.

We do offer a health guarantee and invite you to read the particulars on the page entitled "Health Guarantee".   If you would like further details on our health guarantee, just ask.  All of our puppies leave here up to date with their puppy shots and wormings.  We have many satisfied customers and would be happy to send you emails that we have received from these clients.  Many contain pictures of them and their little pals.

~ The Matter of Trust ~

in Purchasing a Puppy From Us Over the Internet.

                                             (added January 21, 2009)

I wanted to communicate something to you about this aspect of our adoption process.  As we all know, there are many stories of terrible scamming, etc., that has taken place for individuals that have chosen to get their "merchandise" online.  I am convinced of two things.  First of all, there are many more transactions that take place that turn out to be satisfactory for individuals than the awful things that we do hear of.  Secondly, I am also convinced that there are those that on the web daily, doing their evil deeds.  This is not a judgmental statement as we all know that taking advantage of others is truly evil.  There is no excuse for such behavior, no matter who the individual or where they have come from.  Period!

I have the advantage of having been raised as a missionary's kid over in the Orient, where one had to be on the lookout for thieves and connivers at all times!  It was just assumed that since our skin was light in color we were filthy rich. Because of having been raised in an environment that I had to be vigilant, I find it much easier to spot potential problem people that contact me.  Believe it or not, almost every single day, I am contacted either by phone or email by scammists.  Evidently dog breeders are thought to be quite well-to-do.  I need to tell my husband that since we struggle to even cover our bills a good part of the time!  Anyhow, because I've been contacted literally by hundreds of such individuals in the past years, I can usually spot them and know who not to even reply to.  If I have a doubt, I respond carefully, but do have my "feelers" out there, because I don't intend to be an easy victim.

I realize that there is risk for you as well.  I don't take it personal that people need to feel comfortable that this is a true puppy business and that things are as they are portrayed.  I endeavor to be as patient as possible and answer questions, though some times I've been asked 12 to 15 questions all at once, and then that many more again!  In the typical day, I spend 8 to 10 hrs. a day doing the computer and phone end of this business, and then besides that I have to care for our doggies and care for the family.  Sometimes it is overwhelming, but I do my best to answer questions thoroughly for those that are asking.

Also if there are particular requests by different individuals to proof that I am honest, I do my best to accommodate them though it all takes even more time.

Here is what I want to say.  In some cases with working with potential puppy customers, I am at a loss to know what else I can say or do to make someone feel comfortable.  Sometimes it has been trying when I've sought to please, and still couldn't break through their fear and suspicion.  Several times I have urged the person to look at puppies locally, so they can drive there and check out in depth and feel confident of who they are purchasing from.  In more than one case I've been replied to in such a manner.  "Oh, no!  We've decided we definitely want one of your puppies.  We're going to buy a puppy from you but let me tell you again, don't you even think of taking advantage of me!  In fact, I really think that you are probably a scammist!"  Oh, boy!  So I'm at a loss to know what to do.  I have someone that is determined to get one of my puppies but yet they cannot trust me.  That is a very uncomfortable situation.

In the past, we had many more pictures of our family on our website.  This was to help people to know us better.  Then a good lawyer friend of ours told us that it was unwise, for our own safety, to have those pictures posted.  We do not desire to be unwise with how much information we offer and so in getting advice from different ones we decided to remove those pictures.  So that is something that we have changed in the past months.

One concern I have when I have someone that I cannot assure, is of how safe I am in doing business with that individual.  I am not the suspicious type, but I'm sure you're aware of the proven fact that many people will only trust others as far as they would trust themselves in the same situation.  Sometimes I wonder if someone is so concerned about my being dishonest because they are that way themselves.  That's a very unsettling thought!

Here's what I'll say.  I have put hundreds of hours into this website to share with you.  In the coming weeks, I plan to add many more testimonials on my testimonial page, for the very reason that we're talking about here.  I want you to be able to see by pictures and by what others have written that there are dozens listed as satisfied customers, though there are many more than that!

Also, I desire to answer your questions, I desire to make you feel comfortable about this puppy adoption and therefore I am happy to answer a reasonable amount of questions, though it is very time consuming.  Also, in a reasonable fashion, I am even willing to honor a unique request here or there.  But it comes down to this.......You will have to decide if you will trust me.  I cannot make you trust me.  If you truly cannot trust, it will be very trying for both you and me, as I really want to go the extra mile and I'm reaching out to you.  But again, if you decide to misread even that, then I cannot make you trust me.  So this is your decision.  If you don't feel comfortable with what I offer to you, in what you see on this website, and in the answering of your questions, it really would be best if you adopted locally.  I desire that this be a happy experience for you and it's likely that you would be more secure in knowing that you have adopted from someone so near by that you could drive over and see them again if you need to.

Since all of our puppies sell(and I do NOT mean this boastfully) and I am so busy in keeping up, I really am limited on continuing to try to boost someone's level of confidence in working with me.  So I really need to just be working with those that are truly wanting to do this and feel confident with all of the testimonials that I offer and the pictures of our puppy facility, etc.  I don't have the time to try to prove who I am.  Does that make sense?  Again, small requests, I will endeavor to fulfill.  Whole long lists of unique processes that I have to go through....sorry, I truly don't have the time.  Please understand how this is meant.

It amounts to the fact that I have chosen to believe you.  I believe that you truly are wanting a puppy to love on and to treat well.  I am trusting you to pay as we have agreed upon, and so on.   Now the choice is yours as to if you will choose to trust me.

For Those of You Who Have Reserved a Puppy and Are Desiring Updated Pictures of Your Puppy -

Expected Schedule of Picture Taking

1st Set of Pictures - Within First Couple of Days after the Litter's Arrival

To notify those on waiting list of the litter's arrival.

These pictures will also serve as the pictures that you will select your puppy by.

Then - About 6 weeks later, I will take updated pictures of the puppies.

This means that you would are likely to get pictures when the puppies are born and then have one updated picture before your puppy would be ready to go.  I explain a little on why we don't have time to do more than that in the paragraphs below.  I do thank you for your understanding.

We understand that it's exciting knowing that your puppy has arrived and that you want to see as many pictures as possible of your new little "baby".  The problem is that I'm having difficulty getting to everything.  It is absolutely imperative that the puppies we have, and their mamas and papas are cared for properly, and it simply takes hours out of a day's time.

I don't mean this rudely, but it's become common many times when I have just spent 8 to 10 hours with the picture taking of 25-30 puppies, readying the pictures, and then emailing them to all of the different parties, I get responses back saying something like this.  "Oh, thank you!  He is so cute.  I would like several more pictures.  Thanks!!!"  The problem I've got is that I get multiple requests like that every single day, and I simply cannot get to all of it.

I know that requests like that are coming from people who have no intent of putting a hardship on me and just are excited and happy with the pictures they've seen so far.  Because I don't want to turn anyone away, I've been staying up half the night, taking more pictures when my family's in bed, honoring these requests.  Though I want to share all of the pictures I can, I only have so much time, and I have realized recently that I have a dilemma.  To insure that I keep my health up, too, I've got to get to bed at some point!  :o)  In light of that, the schedule that you see here is what I'm telling you that I plan to do for those on the waiting list.  Rarely, can I not do this.  For instance, I may not have the pictures of the puppies that have arrived within 24 hrs if the mommy had to have a C-Section and we have more specialized care that we're having to give her.  Because we don't feel like we can take pictures more often than stated above, we want to be up front with you on this.

Please understand that I believe you to be worthy of a whole passel of pictures.  It's just that I've found that 24 hrs. isn't quite enough to pack in everything I'm trying to swing.  As our children have gotten older, there is more that they are involved in as well, and so more of the work load falls on Mom and Dad.  Because I can't take the pictures properly without their help, this also means that it's harder to get it done.  I do thank you for your understanding.

Another Likely Cause of Delay in My Responding or the Honoring of Your Picture Requests........

I want to mention that usually on our airport days, we take 4-6 puppies to the airport and sometimes as many as 8-10!  Since it's a 10 hr. trip roundtrip, we have to do it this way.  The last 4-5 days leading up to an airport run is so busy that sometimes I have to set aside granting requests such as picture taking, etc., in order to get everything together in time for the trip.  There are airline arrangements, shots & wormings, each puppy has to have his vetcheck, and all paperwork to be finalized including the registration papers, receipts, paper shot records, etc.  Without all kennels prepared properly, and paperwork done, the puppies simply cannot board the plane.  That's not to add in the time that we take to bathe each puppy and clip their nails, and prepare the baggies of puppychow, etc.

If I tell you that I will get pictures of your puppy for you a particular day, know that I'll do my very best to do so.  But if it comes to whether I can make the deadline on a puppy run, I then simply have to set everything else aside.  I will not purposefully lead you to believe that pictures are coming if I don't expect to get to it.  But more than once, I've been in such a predicament, I simply ran out of time.

So you will understand why you may be waiting on me for something that takes some time, such as taking pictures, I will plan to make mention right here if we're within that busy phase before an airport run.  This way, if you're waiting on pictures especially, you'll know what's up.  Keep in mind that for us to make a trip to the airport it's a 520 roundtrip trip to Omaha and back, and it takes something to prepare for and to make the trip.  Most of the family are always here, but the one that has to make the run has to have everything in readiness.  Don't feel like you can't contact me when they're note that we're preparing for an airport run.    Please Email or Leave a Message ANYTIME.......I will get back to you ASAP, I promise!   I simply really need your patience along this line and I thank you appreciatively for understanding!
